HISTORY OF WEC MEXICO
During the late 1980's the USA Sending Base became interested in the possibility of working in Mexico and approached Pruett and Linda Burnam, then Field Leaders in Colombia, to help investigate this opportunity.
Having helped with the initial investigations Pruett and Linda were asked to consider the possibility of opening a new WEC field in Mexico. God provided for the necessary personnel to take over their responsibilities in Colombia and Pruett and Linda felt led by God to undertake this new challenge.

January 1992 marked the formal commencement of the Mexico field when Pruett and Linda moved to Cuernavaca, having sensed God's leading to begin the work there. In February new workers joined them and the work of WEC Mexico was underway.
During the first year there were 6 members added to the new field and with each consecutive year the number has increased. Presently there are 25 adult missionaries with others on their way.
From the first year team members have ministered in and with different local churches in various areas such as church planting, teaching, Sunday School, children's work, etc. We also acquired a property, after many years of looking, and are working towards a Ministry Centre with camps, an MTC and a Pastors' Renewal Centre.
